A car is essential
It is advisable to have your own transport with air conditioning. There are many car hire companies at the airport but it would be advisable to book before you leave the UK to save waiting time at the airport on your arrival.
Driving on the island is the same as the UK on the left side of the road. The road system around the island are either dual carriageways or double tracked and in the most in very good condition. Fuel is a lot cheaper than in the UK and the petrol stations are accessible 24 hours a day via an automated system after normal working hours.
